Welcome to my website. I set it up as a window onto my work as an artist painting and sketching. If you find any of it interesting don’t be afraid to reach out. I love to hear from other artists also.

I was born and raised in the Val d’Oise not far from Paris in France, and I’ve lived in Ireland for more than 25 years. I’m living in one of the peaceful, seaside towns to be found in Co. Wicklow along the east coast of Ireland.

Since my mid-twenties I’ve been involved in all aspects of the craft of Animation. I began as a classically trained animator when everything was hand-drawn and I went on to develop as a story artist and director for various clients such as Disney, Warners, Hasbro, Rovio, and so on.

I come from a family line of hobbyist painters going back to my grandfather who began to paint watercolours while recuperating from an injury sustained during WW1. My father sketched and painted all his life. Although I’ve been drawing for most of my adult life because of my job, I only began sketching portraits more recently, and then went on to paint seriously since 2020.

I tend to paint figuratively, and I have a classical to modern approach. That may well change over time, but for the moment it’s what I enjoy the most.
